New Horizons
New Horizons is Donia's sophomore exhibition with BBAM! Gallery in Montreal, Quebec which featured works created over the span of three years, as the world was impacted by the pandemic. The collection reflects feelings of isolation and the desire for connection, while still embodying a strong hope for the future.
In contrast to Donia's debut solo exhibition with the gallery titled Voyager, which focused on personal origins and the beginnings of the universe, New Horizons represents Donia's aspiration to forge a fresh path forward and explore the possibilities of tomorrow.
Additionally, while Voyager paid homage to NASA's Voyager space missions, New Horizons pays tribute to the space mission that provided humanity with its first look at Pluto and the edge of our known solar system. To this day, it continues to venture beyond the far-reaching unknowns of space.
